The Boy:
He is reclusive and a bit of a loner, this is due to domestic trouble he has at home (doesn’t get on with his step-dad). He has few friends due to his nature, and has never really taken school seriously; his only real friend is a girl called Julia whom he also fancies.
Julia:
She is a relatively popular girl in school with few troubles. She also takes school quite seriously and she became friends with the boy for the simple reason of pity, however she eventually came around to liking him as a proper friend, but she does still feel awkward around him, due to his feelings for her.
